Arts Consultancy
Alongside my coaching practice, I also do several different things in the arts. These include:
- Creative Producer - project managing and creating the vision for a range of participatory arts projects.
- Troubleshooting Consultant - working with teams when things aren't going right, blending my coaching, mentoring and project management skills.
- Strategic Consultant - working with organisations to define their artistic and operational strategies and feasibility studies for new projects or innovative new ways of working.
- Facilitator - I love running training! I also faciliate development days and other sessions where I create the right environment for groups to develop ideas and form plans. As well as bespoke training, I am also on the training panel for Arts Award with Trinity College London.
Examples of some of my favourite projects are below. If you'd like to have a chat about what I could do for you and your organisation, book in a zoom chat and we can go from there.
Some Favourite Projects
Articulate Cultural Trust
2025
I was brought into Articulate to help them get their digital learning space, The Studio, off the ground. Over a period of 6 months I produced around 30 online courses for them, created and presented by a range of teaching artists and care experienced emerging artists. We tested the course through a panel of care experienced young people from the highlands down to Cornwall.
Killer Whale Coaching
Summer 2025
Collaboration is absolutely my favourite thing, especially with fab people like Sorcha O'Connor. I supported Sorcha to produce an online course which will be used as a follow up for her in person Clifton Strengths training.
Creative Assemblies
Summer 2022
Working with Creative Lives, I produced three Creative Assembly Events in the Scottish Borders, North Ayrshire and Aberdeenshire. We brought together volunteer-led arts organisations and groups to network and discuss future collaborations.
For the Aberdeenshire event, we partnered with Creative Aberdeenshire Network and Haddo House.
The Heart of Haddo
Spring 2023
Working with the fabulous James Johnson of getMade Design, we are creating two new visitor experiences at the gorgeous and fascinating Haddo House with the National Trust for Scotland.
Aimed at families, these experiences will celebrate the performing arts heritage of Haddo and explore some parts of the house where visitors aren't usually allowed go.
Beadwork Retreats
For several years, I ran Mrs Magooty CIC which reduced social isolation through beadwork and textile crafts. Since the pandemic, I've wound up Mrs M (I had too many companies!) but I continue to produce Beadwork Retreats, which are always a highlight of my year.
